Yes, hello, and welcome to this little website! May you find lovely and truth in the world as you join us on this journey through the good, bad, beautiful, and ugly of life. A little overview of this site I have created, and this mission that I’m on:

I’ve always believed that I may have been born in the wrong decade. In a world where the vulgarity of Hollywood reigns,  I much prefer the beauty and elegance of Audrey Hepburn.

In a world of musicians who sing words like “I’m bringing sexy back,” I much prefer the Sinatra lyrics, “Oh but you’re LOVELY, with your smile so warm.”

And that’s where it all started. Why don’t we, as women, allow ourselves to be lovely anymore? Why do we put so much effort into evoking descriptions such as “sexy” and “hot” when we could be so much more than surface derived adjectives?

Sexy is defined as “sexually arousing.”

Lovely is defined as “exquisitely beautiful.”

Exquisite beauty, what an incredible attribute to work toward. It can’t just exist on the surface. Instead, to achieve such a level of beauty, you must work from the inside out. This can be a lot harder than purchasing a new tank top or smoky eyeshadow, but it is so much more fulfilling.

Join me on a mission to bring lovely back.
